Megan Fox Releases Poetry About Feelings Toward Men

Thirty-seven-year-old actress Megan Fox has revealed the upcoming release of her poetry book, “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,” inspired by her sentiments about men. The collection, set to hit shelves in November, delves into her experiences.

The actress expressed the emotions that fueled her writing: “I wrote these poems to expel the sickness that grew within me due to my silence. My entire life, I’ve hidden the secrets of men, and my body is weary from bearing the burden of their wrongdoings.”

In a statement about the project, she further shared her hopes that her words would empower others to reclaim their joy and identity by shedding light on what’s been concealed in shadows, adding, “My liberation is found in these pages.”

Fox unveiled the new poetry on Instagram, posting a photo of the book’s cover with the caption, “I wrote a book,” and announcing its release date of November 7. Her fiancĂ©, rapper Machine Gun Kelly, supported her announcement with a “proud of you” comment and a fire emoji.

Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, is responsible for the book’s release. In their description, they praised Fox’s “wicked humor” in her “heartbreaking and dark” poetic collection, adding that through writing over seventy poems, Fox explores that for those we love, we often mold ourselves into something else, even if it leads to losing our essence.

The publisher also marked the project as “a powerful debut from one of the most recognizable women of our era. Turn the page, bite the apple, and immerse yourself in one of the most enticing and captivating books you’ll read this year.”

Fox’s engagement with Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, has been a subject of media attention since 2022. Earlier this year, the couple faced rumors of a breakup following allegations that MGK had been unfaithful to Fox.

Before her relationship with Baker, Fox married and had three children with actor Brian Austin Green.
