(JustPatriots.com)- Donald Trump is starting to build his all-around campaign platforms, and earlier this week, he began to lay the groundwork for his approach to national security and foreign policy.
In a new video that the former president released this week, he denounced the current U.S. foreign policy as well as the organizations that find themselves front and center of it all.
In the video, Trump warns:
“World War III has never been closer than it is right now … We need to clean house of all the warmongers and America Last globalists in the deep state, the Pentagon, the State Department and the National Security industrial complex.”
“One of the reasons I was the only president in generations who didn’t start a war is that I was the only president who rejected the catastrophic advice of many of Washington’s generals, bureaucrats, and the so-called diplomats who only know how to get us into conflict, but they don’t know how to get us out.”
He even singled out individual people for pushing the United States closer and closer to international conflicts, specifically speaking about the war between Ukraine and Russia. He said:
“For decades, we’ve had the very same people, such as Victoria Nuland (the under secretary of state for political affairs), and many others just like her, obsessed with pushing Ukraine toward NATO, not to mention the State Department support for uprisings in Ukraine.
“These people have been seeking confrontation for a long time, much like the case in Iraq, and other parts of the world. And now, we’re teetering on the brink of World War III and a lot of people don’t see it, but I see it. And I’ve been right about a lot of things.”
In his video, Trump alluded to talk that has been swirling around Washington that his administration wasn’t able to complete the process of cleaning house in the country’s national security backbone because he wasn’t able to win re-election in 2020.
One of his big goals, he said, is to stop lobbyists and some of the biggest defense contractors from playing an influential role in having senior national security and military officials toward rather than away from international conflict. These same people and companies, he said, are the ones that then benefit financially from large government contracts or cushy lucrative government jobs, where they make millions.
Trump’s messaging is significantly different from that of President Joe Biden, who made a surprise visit to Ukraine this week to reiterate America’s ongoing support for Ukraine in its war against Russia. The president even committed more financial and military support for Ukraine during his visit in the capital city of Kyiv.
Trump commented directly about this in his video, saying:
“Take a look at the globalist warmongering donors backing our opponents. That’s because they’re candidates of war. I am the president who delivers peace and its peace through strength. There was a reason we had no conflict (during the Trump administration).
