(JustPatriots.com)- Last week we heard how pro-Trump attorney Lin Wood called on the nation’s leaders to implement limited martial law to oversee a new, uncompromised election, and now that same idea is being promoted by the president’s nomination for Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs.
Scott O’Grady, who was nominated by the president following a series of firings in the Defense Department, has said that implementing martial law would be a sensible next step to ensure the country does not elect a president based on a compromised election.
“I don’t know who needs to hear this,” he wrote in one of a series of private tweets reported by CNN, “but calling for martial law is not a bad idea when there is an attempted coup against the president and this country happening right now.”
O’Grady was nominated by the White House after members of the volunteer board that advises the Department of Defense on business matters. The firings occurred on Friday, with the chair, vice chair, and a further two official fired by the Trump administration.
Michael Bayer, the chair of the board who was fired, told Politico that he was “surprised.”
“I was very surprised that the White House would, at the eleventh hour, adjust an advisory board that for 19 years has had a record of nonpartisan support with the department.”
He said the move was “unprecedented,” which has never been the kind of thing that would stop the president taking action.
The Defense Business Board is made up of academic leaders and over a dozen industry professionals who volunteer their time to advice the Pentagon. On Friday, Defence Secretary Mark Esper announced their firings on Twitter.
On Monday, O’Grady’s nomination to the department was sent to the Senate, and if he is confirmed – which it’s likely he will be – he may only be there until January 20. If Joe Biden becomes president of the United States, you can bet that Trump’s appointments won’t be given an opportunity to serve under a cabinet of far-left and radical progressive activists and career politicians.
O’Grady’s has made it very clear in his comments that he supports the president in his fight to ensure election integrity and to go as high as the Supreme Court with his legal battle to make sure illegal ballots are not counted.
On November 25, O’Grady tweeted, “Trump won & Biden & his Comrades will not attempt a coup.”
CNN even complained that O’Grady said in spring this year that “open-source unclassified material” indicates that COVID-19 came from a lab in China. The same claim, however, has been made by American and Australian government officials…so CNN can stay mad about that.
Martial law could be one way for the president to ensure a fair and honest election goes ahead before January 20, but as it stands, it’s more likely that the overwhelming evidence of electoral fraud will be seen by the Supreme Court within a matter of weeks.
