(JustPatriots.com)- President Joe Biden was so desperate to be known as the president who ended the Afghanistan War – even though former President Donald Trump spent years negotiating a working deal and threatening the Taliban that they would be annihilated by the U.S. military if they failed to abide by the deal – but now it looks like Biden will be known as the man who re-started the war.
During an interview on Sunday, Biden’s National Security Advisor jake Sullivan said that it’s possible the United States will need to send in more troops to Kabul as conflict remains in the region and the Taliban threatens consequences if the U.S. does not fully withdraw from the country by August 21.
According to several media reports, some 6,000 American troops have been sent back into Afghanistan – after President Biden ordered troops to leave the main U.S. air base, Bagram – to assist with evacuating American citizens that he failed to rescue before he removed the troops the first time.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki insisted this week that the U.S. government is confident that they will be able to evacuate all Americans by August 31, but also stood by her claim that they simply cannot say how many Americans are stranded in the country. It raises questions about just how confident the government can really be that everybody can be saved.
How can they know if they don’t even know how many people are stranded?
Some reports recently suggested that there could be as many as 20,000 people stuck in the airport trying to get out, and an untold number of Americans and non-Afghans stranded in the city and unable to reach the airport.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Sunday that he is working as hard as possible and doing everything he can to get people out of the country.
Press Secretary Psaki also revealed that the vast majority of those who have already been evacuated are Afghans.
What exactly is President Joe Biden’s priority here?
With more U.S. troops on the way back to Afghanistan, Biden has cemented his legacy as perhaps the worst foreign policy president in modern history. And that’s saying something.
