Video Shows Trump Telling Friend He’s About To Be 47th U.S. President

( Last week, a video that was shared widely on social media showed former President Trump jokingly declaring himself the “45th and 47th” US president while playing a round of golf at one of his clubs.

As Trump was filmed walking up to the first tee, one of the people playing with him could be heard saying, “Now on the tee, the 45th President of the United States.”

A grinning Trump fired back, “The 45th and 47th” which prompted those playing with him to cheer. One is heard saying, “Yes, I love that.”

Naturally, the people desperate for some word of confirmation from Trump that he is running again in 2024 were quick to conclude that this was “proof” he plans to run.

Or it could be proof that he has a sense of humor and enjoys trolling people.

But his eager, die-hard fans will take what they can get.

The former president has spent the last year teasing that he would run again in 2024. However, making it official would trigger campaign finance laws that would limit his ability to raise the kind of cash he’s been raising for his Save America PAC.

Rather than lose that fundraising freedom, the former President has settled for offering hints and promises that his supporters “will be happy” with his yet-to-be-announced decision.

The larger question is, are voters eager for Trump to be the “45th and 47th” President of the United States?

Last week, Marquette University released a poll showing 72 percent of respondents do not want Trump to run again in 2024 while only 29 percent support the idea. In a possible rematch between Trump and Biden, the Marquette poll showed Biden with a ten-point advantage over Trump 43 percent to 33 percent.
