Lindsey Graham Responds After Democrat Demands No More Hearings for Trump Nominees

(UnitedVoice.com) – More than 200 judges have been confirmed to the bench throughout Donald Trump’s presidency. Republicans and the commander-in-chief have made filling vacancies on the court a top priority. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) recently responded to a request by a Democratic leader who wants the GOP to stop.
On November 12, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) asked Graham to stop voting on the nominations during the lame-duck session. She claimed the “American people have overwhelmingly rejected” President Trump’s re-election, therefore the Judiciary Committee shouldn’t process more judges.
Judiciary Top Dem Feinstein wrote to Chair Graham today to follow cmte precedent & stop processing nominations in lame duck session:"Cmte should accordingly cease to process judicial nominations & allow Biden-Harris Admin the opportunity to appoint judges after Inauguration Day." pic.twitter.com/fNl6LljHXM

A reporter asked Graham for a response to Feinstein’s request. His spokesperson said the senator will “continue to process judges” while President Trump is in office. It’s also important to note, the president is currently disputing election results in multiple states and could well receive a second term. Either way, the American people expect lawmakers to continue doing their jobs for the entire term of the sitting president.
