Twitter Deletes Russian Embassy Tweet Claiming Maternity Hospital Bombing Was ‘FAKE’

(JustPatriots.com)- Twitter has removed a tweet shared by the Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom on Thursday that wrongly claimed that the bombing of a maternity ward in the city of Mariupol, Ukraine, was staged. The bombing was not staged – it was strategically performed by the Russian military and constituted yet another probable war crime committed by Russia.

Twitter removed the post for breaking community guidelines, and it also attracted the attention of Nadine Dorries, the Culture Secretary of the United Kingdom.

“This is fake news,” she said. You can see her tweet below, along with the now-deleted Russian Embassy tweet.

Might Twitter be better off allowing tweets like this to stay on their platform?

Now, nobody can see the blatant lies being told by the Russians to justify their brutal invasion of Ukraine. Shouldn’t people see this stuff?

The original tweet from the Russian embassy claimed that the maternity hospital was “long non-operational” and that it was used by Ukrainian armed forces and radicals – including the Azov Battalion, a neo-Nazi group – to stage a fake attack.

The world already knows that Ukraine has one neo-Nazi battalion, but Russia seems to think it can convince the world that all Ukrainians are Nazis…and that the Russian army isn’t bombing hospitals. When it is.
