Tucker Carlson Says He Was Fired Because Fox News Is Getting Sold

Monday saw the shocking departure of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host Tucker Carlson.

Fox News declared that there was an agreement to “part ways.” In the words of the network, they ‘thanked him for his service.’ But, firing him in a manner that prevented him from broadcasting a farewell to his audience seemed to be a “thank you for leaving.”

As of Tuesday morning, Tucker Carlson had not publicly addressed his firing from Fox News. However, one story suggested that he views his dismissal as part of a one-two punch aimed at the network.

The article claims that Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott called Carlson on Monday morning to inform him that his show was being canceled and that he no longer had access to his Fox News email.

Carlson has apparently told others that the Murdoch family’s plans to sell Fox News are the real reason his show was canceled and he was dismissed. The CEO of Fox Corp., the parent company of Fox News, is now Rupert Murdoch’s son Lachlan.

The report used unnamed sources.

He reportedly informed others around him that Suzanne Scott did not explain the decision beyond saying it came “from above,” as reported by Vanity Fair.

Author Paddy Manning claims that Lachlan Murdoch was the driving force behind the firing. The New York Times reportedly confirmed that Murdoch and Scott were responsible for the decision.

According to the story, Carlson has been optimistic about renewing his contract with Fox through 2029 as recently as last week.

It was reported in The New York Times that Carlson had “a growing list of troubles inside the network related to his conduct on and off the air, some of which had been grating on Lachlan Murdoch.” “two people with knowledge of the company’s decision” were mentioned as the article’s sources.

Tucker will be missed until he reappears. He has been the only thing that has kept the MSM somewhat honest for a long time.
