(JustPatriots.com)- Former Trump Attorney General William Barr has a book coming out on April 5 about his time in the Trump Justice Department. And former President Trump is big mad about the details that have emerged from the book in advance of its release.
According to the Wall Street Journal, in Barr’s book “One Damn Thing After Another,” the former attorney general regularly criticizes his former boss over Trump’s claim that the 2020 election was rigged against him.
Barr succinctly sums up his position on Trump’s claims, writing the election wasn’t stolen, instead “Trump lost it.”
Barr explains in his book that if Trump had “exercised a modicum of self-restraint” and moderated some of his “pettiness,” he would have defeated Joe Biden in 2020.
In his book, Barr suggests that Republicans need to move on from Donald Trump and his “erratic personal behavior.”
The Wall Street Journal concludes its preview of Barr’s book with a quote in which Barr said Trump taking his “stolen election” claim to “absurd lengths” directly led to the January 6 riot at the Capitol.
Needless to say, the former president was not happy about the details published in the Wall Street Journal.
Trump released a statement on Friday accusing Barr of not stopping the Russia hoax soon enough and refusing to do anything about fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
Calling Barr “weak, ineffective, and totally scared of being impeached,” Trump said the Democrats “broke” him. He argued that Barr’s refusal to investigate election fraud was an attempt to “save his own skin.”
Trump noted that the Democrats never impeached Barr or held him held in contempt, concluding that the Democrats were “very happy” with Barr, “but I wasn’t.”
The former president then turned his attention to the January 6 select committee, once again accusing them of being unwilling to investigate voter fraud in the 2020 election.
