(JustPatriots.com)- Speaking to Mike Huckabee for a one-hour special interview on Newsmax, former President Donald Trump rejoiced in America’s continued embrace of Christmas tradition and denounced the “woke” activists who are still trying to cancel it.
The interview special, titled “Christmas in America,” premiered on Wednesday and featured the former president encouraging the people of America – of all races, religions, and backgrounds – to unite behind America’s core culture.
“And whether you’re Muslim, whether you’re Christian, whether you’re Jewish, everyone loves Christmas and they’d say, ‘Merry Christmas,’ – until these crazy people came along and they wanted to stop it, along with everything else,” he said.
Trump reminded viewers of the promise he made back in 2015 when he first announced his run for the White House, when he said that he would ensure that the country no longer fears saying “Merry Christmas” instead of “happy holidays.”
Trump told Huckabee that the U.S. was beginning to embrace the “woke” ideas about Christmas and the holidays, and that many stores were becoming too scared to mention the word Christmas.
“You see these big chains, they want your money, but they don’t want to say Merry Christmas,” he said.
Remember those days? It was certainly a trend that gradually emerged and strengthened during the Obama years – but which was dramatically halted during the Trump administration.
And even though someone set alight the Christmas tree outside of the Fox News headquarters in New York City only this month, Trump said that the country is uniting around the “Merry Christmas” message once again.
