(JustPatriots.com)- A defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems against Fox News has uncovered some bombshell revelations about the actual thinking of the company’s leader and some of its top hosts in regard to former President Donald Trump.
Earlier this week, it was revealed as part of the $1.6 billion lawsuit that many of the top executives and hosts at Fox News knew that Trump’s claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen were false, but they went ahead and aired them anyway.
One private text message chain in particular – between Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham – showed the hosts’ thoughts about Trump and his team of allies.
Carlson wrote on November 18:
“Sidney Powell (one of Trump’s lawyers) is lying by the way. I caught her. It’s insane.”
Then, Ingraham responded:
“Sidney is a complete nut. No one will work with her. Ditto with Rudy (Giuliani).”
Then Carlson concluded:
“Our viewers are good people and they believe it.”
Even Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of Fox Corporation, called some of Trump’s theories “crazy.”
When all of this was published, Trump naturally responded with some rage. He posted on his social media platform Truth Social:
“Why is Rupert Murdoch throwing his anchors under the table, which also happens to be killing his case and infuriating his viewers, who will again be leaving in droves – they already are. There is MASSIVE evidence of voter fraud & irregularities in the 2020 Presidential Election. Just look at the documentary ‘2000 MULES’ and you will see large scale ballot stuffing caught on government cameras, or votes cast without Legislatures approval, or just recently, the FBI/Twitter Files Scandal. RIGGED!!!”
Trump didn’t stop there, though. In his typical fashion, he took to the social media platform again to go off on Fox, almost as a way to defend his own actions that were brought up as part of the Dominion lawsuit – even though he isn’t being sued.
He continued:
“There was so much Voter Fraud & Irregularities in the 2020 Presidential Election that it amazes me how weak and ineffective FoxNews is at portraying itself in the lawsuit against them. They look too scared and frightened to reveal the massive amounts of voter fraud & Irregularities already found, and it would actually help them in the lawsuit. Instead FoxNews wants to silence its anchors and reporters, the reason so many of their viewers fled. The Election was that of a Third World Country!”
For its own part, Fox News took to the media to defend itself as part of the Dominion case. They issued a statement that said the lawsuit is “more about what will generate headlines” than what actually could withstand any legal scrutiny. They pointed to the fact that Dominion dropped its damages demand by more than $500 million after one of the experts that they called “debunked its implausible claims.”
As the statement said of Dominion:
“Their summary judgment motion took an extreme, unsupported view of defamation law that would prevent journalists from basic reporting and their efforts to publicly smear FOX for covering and commenting on allegations by a sitting President of the United States should be recognized for what it is: a blatant violation of the First Amendment.”
