Top Democrat Sends Threatening Letter To Elon Musk, So He Responds

( Twitter’s Chief Twit Elon Musk responded to a letter published on the social media platform by Democratic Senator Ed Markey. The senator, in cahoots with a reporter from The Washington Post, gave him permission to set up a fake Twitter account with his name and buy Twitter blue, hence verifying the fake account, according to The Daily Wire.

“Yesterday, a Washington Post reporter easily created a fake Twitter account in my name,” Markey wrote, adding that this was because Twitter has a “lax” verification process. He also said that “selling truth is dangerous and unacceptable,” demanding an answer as to how this could happen.

Markey then proceeded to make false claims about the verification badge, saying that the pop-up on the fake account said he was a verified person in government, but not because the person paid for the badge. But, The Washington Post clearly posted screenshots of the pop-ups side by side in their article, showing that each was verified differently.

The Democrat then called Twitter the “wild west” and demanded answers. Musk shortly after responded to the senator.

“Perhaps it is because your real account sounds like a parody?” Musk responded before turning to the senator’s profile picture. “And why does your pp have a mask!?”

An activist group called “People for Bernie,” with over 200,000 followers and with a legacy checkmark tweeted in response to Musk. They told him that he should be careful trolling a “high ranking Senator with a history of taking down rich people who just so happens to sit on multiple committees which regulate your businesses…”

Musk asked if they were suggesting that Markey would abuse his political power to take him down?

Other notable Twitter users responded to the letter bringing attention to the fact that no one was talking about a reporter deliberately lying about who he was with a U.S. Senator in an effort to make the social media platform look bad.
