These Fake Fact-Checks All Put Experts At Risk

( In recent memory, the American public has been bombarded with “fact checks,” whether coming from mainstream media outlets or social media. These fact checks have noticeably skewed in favor of Democrats, until retractions needed to be made when so-called “conspiracy theories” turned out to be true. As a result of the blatant dishonesty, Americans’ trust in media has dropped, beginning in 2016 and continued forward to this day, according to Just the News.

There have been fact checks about everything: from literally everything about COVID-19 (origins, vaccines, lockdowns, masks, etc.) to Trump-Russia collusion, to the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. Each of these topics were pushed in a certain direction by the mainstream media and their narrative, which favored the Democrats, and all turned out to be wrong.

Maybe this is why a Trafalgar poll reportedly found that over 76% of Americans believe that mainstream media pushes its own political agenda, rather than report simply on what is factual. Just the News also reported on an October Gallup poll that found that just 36% of Americans trust the media. That is just over a third of the population and if those numbers are accurate that represents over 120 million people.

When reports and speculation surrounding the origins of COVID-19 came out, the media began to deny such allegations as “conspiracy.” But hardly a year went by when those claims needed to be retracted or dispensed with as evidence emerged that the NIH funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan.

The media pushing false COVID narratives can go on and on, but we all remember when “15 days to slow the spread” became two years of nonstop gaslighting as even “Mr. Science” himself, Anthony Fauci, did not follow his own rules.

When it came to Trump-Russia collusion, it turned out that much of the Steele Dossier was a fabrication. Given Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the Trump-Russia probe, we now know from the Sussman trial that Clinton herself is tied to the ongoing disinformation campaign against then-candidate Donald Trump, along with the rest of the media.

Given big tech’s alliance with the Democratic Party, it comes as no surprise that Twitter also suppressed the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story. While there was no evidence of Russian disinformation, contrary to what has become the left-wing automatic generated response to anything unfavorable, then-Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admitted that censoring the story was wrong, especially a story that could have changed voters’ minds had they known what the Bidens were up to.

Since then, outlets like the New York Times, Washington Post and NBC News have admitted the authenticity of the laptop. Unfortunately, they were too late.
