The FBI Almost Arrested Brad Pitt

( In her ongoing fight with ex-husband Brad Pitt, actress Angelina Jolie is suing the Federal Bureau of Investigation for records she already has.

It was confirmed last week that Jolie anonymously sued the FBI in April under the name “Jane Doe” requesting documents related to a 2016 investigation to find out why no criminal charges were brought against Pitt.

The investigation related to a September 2016 incident aboard a flight when Pitt allegedly took Jolie into the bathroom and “grabbed her by the head, shaking her” during an argument over one of their children.

In the initial FBI report, Jolie alleged at the time that Pitt punched the ceiling four times while calling her “crazy” and accusing her of “f*cking up this family.”

Jolie claimed she was injured trying to prevent Pitt from assaulting one of their children. She provided the FBI with photos of her injuries along with journals from her children.

When the plane landed, Jolie claimed Pitt refused to let the family deplane for about 20 minutes because she told him she was taking the children to a hotel.

Six days after this incident, Jolie filed for divorce.

Despite Jolie and Pitt being legally divorced, their legal battles over the custody of their children continue.

And according to Puck News, on August 9, Jolie amended her complaint against the FBI to include a claim that the agent investigating the 2016 incident had prepared a statement of probable cause against Pitt and presented it to the Criminal Division of the US Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles. However, after discussing the incident with the agent, the US Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue criminal charges against Pitt.

But isn’t this exactly what Jolie was suing the FBI for in the first place?

She wanted to know why charges weren’t filed and the details in her amended complaint explain why charges weren’t filed.
