(JustPatriots.com)- Popular Texas Senator Ted Cruz took Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to task recently, demanding answers about how many children have been forced to stay in “Biden Cages” at the border during the recent surge of illegal immigrants pouring over the border.
And Mayorkas managed to get away with answering the question by refusing to accept the terminology Cruz used – even though the terminology is accurate.
Since the beginning of the Biden administration, the number of illegal aliens being apprehended at the border has reached record levels, and increasing numbers of illegal migrants – including children – have been housed in overcrowded cages that the Biden administration tried to keep hidden from the press.
“How many children have been in the Biden Cages in calendar year 2021?” Cruz asked.
“Uh, I respectfully am not familiar with the term cages, and to what you are referring,” Mayorkas lied.
Cruz then explained that he was referring to “enclosures in which they are looked in” and mentioned how he himself had taken photographs and shared them because the Biden administration blocked the media from seeing them.
He then repeated the questions, to which Mayorkas responded:
“Senator, I respectfully disagree with your use of the term ‘cages.’”
Interesting. They called them cages when Trump was in office but not when Biden is in office. Very interesting indeed.
Cruz continued, saying, “fine, you can disagree with it….how many children have been in the Biden Cages?”
“I’ve seen the Biden cages. How many children have you detained at the Donna tent facility in the cages you built to hold kids? How many children have been in those cages?” he continued.
Mayorkas just stuttered and didn’t answer.
