(JustPatriots.com)- Taiwan isn’t backing down to the Chinese communists. President Tsai Ing-wen warned recently that as the island nation celebrates its National Day, it will refuse to comply with the demands of the Chinese Communist Party. The president also announced that the island will continue increasing its military presence and technological capability to stop China from taking over the country.
President Tsai gave the speech following reports that China continues to fly a record number of military planes into Taiwan’s airspace in a show of force and intimidation against the country. The Chinese Embassy in Paris also recently advised French senators from visiting Taiwan, which was roundly ignored by the French government.
Reports also revealed how former President Donald Trump, in an act of solidarity with Taiwan, secretly put American troops in Taiwan to help the nation’s military prepare for an upcoming conflict with China.
In her speech, President Tsai said that the country cannot let its guard down in the face of increasing pressure from China and insisted that she and her country would be “standing on democracy’s first line of defense.”
Let’s just hope President Joe Biden is as willing as former President Donald Trump to stand with Taiwan over China. So far, it doesn’t look like it.
She said that after China took complete control over Hong Kong and suppressed the Special Administrative Region of China, the Beijing authorities are now shifted away from the “path of political and economic development” that have followed since the beginning of the era of “reform and opening up.”
“At the same time, regional order is being challenged in the South and East China Seas. The routinization of Chinese military activity in Taiwan’s southwestern air defense identification zone (ADIZ) has seriously affected both our national security and aviation safety,” she said.
President Tsai added that she will not act rashly and hopes that there will be an easing of cross-strait relations, but warned that China should be under no illusions that Taiwan and its people will bow to pressure from communists.
Let’s go, Taiwan!
