Steve Bannon Tells Brazilian Candidate To Not Concede Election

(  Steve Bannon, the former White House strategist to former President Donald Trump, urged Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro not to concede the election after left-wing candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva won, according to Newsweek.

Bolsonarom, who has reportedly attracted the support of many Trump allies, is also written off as a “far-right candidate” by the outlet. Da Silva reportedly won 50.9% of the vote compared to Bolsonaro’s 49.1%.

Bannon, alongside Matthew Tyrmand, a board member for Project Veritas, live-streamed on Gettr after the election, claiming that it was rigged in favor of the left-wing candidate.

Tyrmand, who allegedly said that the election would be stolen months before voting took place, suggested that the “world of interconnected globalists, starting in the Brazilian media” will attack the right over their claims of a stolen election.

During the discussion, as Bannon urged that Bolsonaro “cannot concede,” he proceeded to take jabs at President Biden, the State Department, and the CIA, saying “screw them,” before urging Republicans to “out-vote” the machines used in U.S. elections.

“Don’t start sucking your thumb about machines. It is what it is,” he said. “Brazil has got a different system that we got. They got to work with that, we got to work with ours.”

The former strategist was recently sent to four months in prison after failing to comply with the January 6 Select Committee’s subpoena. He called the committee and their investigation a “Moscow show trial,” and argued that he was unable to provide testimony because of “executive privilege.”

Federal Judge Carl Nichols ruled against Bannon and struck down his arguments, saying that “the events of January 6 were undeniably serious.”

“The January 6th committee has every right to investigate what happened that day…what can be done to prevent similar…events from happening in the future,” Nichols continued.

Bannon has until November 15 to appeal the decision otherwise he will be expected to “voluntarily surrender” to serve his prison time.
