Pelosi Slams Mitch McConnell On Infrastructure

(JustPatriots.com)- Far-left House Speaker Nancy Pelosi hit out at Republican leadership this week, saying on Tuesday that she plans to couple the bipartisan infrastructure agreement with a radical plan to spend huge sums on a new “family” plan. Pelosi hit out at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for calling to decouple the bills, and pushing for Democrats to stay true to their promise to work with Republicans on a deal that both parties can get on board with.

During a behind-closed-doors meeting with the Democratic caucus in Washington, D.C., House Speaker Pelosi said that her plan of withholding a vote on the infrastructure deal in the House until the Senate passes a bigger, more partisan families plan, is unchanged.

Lawmakers who attended the discussions said that Pelosi was not going to allow a vote to take place until Republicans capitulate and agree to support other legislation in the Senate.

Basically, it’s blackmail. Do what the Democrats want, or don’t get a bipartisan deal passed.

The fact that Pelosi is forcing Republicans to pass partisan legislation in order to get bipartisan legislation makes that bipartisan legislation…partisan.

Everybody can see this, right?

The chairman of the House Budget Committee, Rep. John Yarmuth, said that the House won’t vote until the Senate sends the House both bills.

It comes after President Joe Biden walked back his promise to refuse to sign the bipartisan deal if it came to his desk without an agreement from Republicans to pass a future “infrastructure” deal that could cost as much as $6 trillion. When Biden recanted on his deal, via his White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Senate Minority Leader McConnell urged Pelosi and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to follow Biden’s lead and commit to supporting the bipartisan plan without requiring Republicans to get on board with other partisan bills.

McConnell said that the president should not hold a bipartisan bill hostage over a separate and partisan plan, but Pelosi isn’t budging. She continues to support her party’s most extreme members of Congress in opposing plans to invest in the nation’s roads and bridges.

Why didn’t the RNC fight this hard when President Donald Trump and many elected Republicans called out the Democrats for supporting a presidential election won through misconduct and fraud?
