(JustPatriots.com)- Parents groups are hitting back against Attorney General Merrick Garland over his statement to investigate and prosecute parents who attend school board meetings.
Earlier this week, the AG issued a memorandum calling on all federal and local law enforcement to investigate “violence” and “threats of violence” against school boards, teachers, and administrators from protesting parents.
There hasn’t been any violence. But when does that matter to this administration?
Garland’s actions were prompted by a slanderous letter from the National School Boards Association asking the Biden administration to use the PATRIOT Act to go after protesting parents. The NSBA also asked that these parents be investigated for domestic terrorism and hate crimes.
The blowback against Garland’s memo was instantaneous.
Just the News interviewed a number of parents groups who have been involved in the fight against radical left indoctrination in public schools who are pushing back against Garland’s ridiculous order.
There is no question that this is just another example of the Biden administration tamping down the First Amendment rights of its political opponents – something it has been doing since Biden took office.
A number of parent activist groups headed up by Parents Defending Education, and representing over 400,000 members, are fighting back against both the National School Boards Association and the DOJ for conflating “a tiny number of minor incidents” with domestic terrorism that is punishable under the PATRIOT Act.
In a statement to the NSBA, the parent groups said that this kind of conflating of legitimate protest with terrorism and violence “reveals both your contempt for parents” and the NSBA’s unwillingness to listen to the “sincere cries of parents on behalf of their children.”
Christopher Rufo, the journalist who has been a driving force in exposing the radical indoctrination in schools, pointed out on Twitter that the Left went from claiming that critical race theory isn’t being taught in school to unleashing the FBI on CRT-opposing parents “in less than 90 days.”
Just the News tried to get a comment from the Department of Justice for their report, however, the DOJ would not respond.
The other day, Tucker Carlson hammered the Biden administration and Merrick Garland over this ridiculous attempt to intimidate parents into silence. In his report, Tucker revealed that Attorney General Garland has a bit of a conflict of interest here.
It turns out that his son-in-law is the co-founder of an education data mining company that promotes Critical Race Theory instruction to school districts.
