Ocasio-Cortez Allegedly Calls In Police Over Alleged “Threat”

(JustPatriots.com)- Far-left congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reportedly called in the police over a “threat” made against her by a podcaster in California. The podcaster says that he was “harassed” by two police officers in his home and falsely accused of threatening the extremist legislator – an allegation that he says is outrageous and incorrect.

The podcaster, who uses the Twitter handle “@queeralamode” is calling on California authorities to provide answers to why the police tracked him down to his home on Thursday this week, in an experience he says left him “shaken up” and feeling unsafe in his home.

“I’m really shaken up right now. I was just visited by two plainclothes police officers from California Highway Patrol at my home,” he said.

“They said they came here on behalf of the Capitol Police and accused me of threatening @AOC on Twitter yesterday. This is provably false,” he added.

The user then shared a tweet from April 7 and said that they assume it was the tweet the police was referencing. They added how they “lightly criticized @AOC for a disappointing answer in response to a question about Palestine/Israel.”

It really was light criticism, too.

“On April 1, @AOC did a livestream with Michael Miller, the head of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. She was asked about ‘peace between Israelis and Palestinians.’ Her response was incredibly underwhelming, to say the very least,” the user said.

Hardly seems like it deserved a visit from the police…

A spokeswoman from AOC’s office said that the congresswoman didn’t request the investigation, however.

“No, we did not report him,” Lauren Hitt told Fox News. “We asked Capitol Police last night to look into what happened here and are awaiting additional information.”

Do you believe them?

California’s Highway Patrol said that they often assist other law enforcement agencies – including the Capitol Police – when asked to take part in an investigation.

Fox also reported that the Capitol Police said that they did not flag any tweets as threatening but that their investigation occurred “as part of its regular effort to monitor threats.”

Does that make any sense?

“USCP investigates all threats that are reported by Congressional offices. The Department also monitors open and classified sources to identify and investigate threats,” a statement from the Capitol Police said. “This is standard operating procedure for the Department. As it pertains to this incident, the Congresswomen did not request that USCP initiate an investigation.”
