New Study Confirms Trump Was Right About Fauci

( In March, President Trump tweeted about the promising results in using a combination of the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin in the treatment of COVID-19.

Instantly the media and politicians attacked the President for even calling attention to such a “dangerous” treatment and accusing the President of telling Americans to go out and pick up some hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin to treat themselves – as if you can buy it over the counter or out of a vending machine.

Media reports began flooding in warning of the “dangers” of hydroxychloroquine – including a now-deleted story from breathlessly reporting that just two grams of the malaria medication could kill.

Two grams is two thousand milligrams. A typical single dose of hydroxychloroquine is only 200 milligrams. Taking ten times the normal dose of many medications would result in death.

But it didn’t matter. The goal was simple: discredit hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin because President Trump said something positive about the treatment.

One Ohio State Legislator even said she would make a referral for “crimes against humanity” to the Hague against President Trump for saying hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin had successful results in treating COVID.

After this display of “Hydroxychloroquine Derangement Syndrome,” the FDA pulled its emergency use authorization for the drug and suspended all testing into its effectiveness. The World Health Organization also urged the international community to abandon the use of the drugs.

And, naturally, social media began censoring anyone who discussed their use.

All because President Trump mentioned it favorably.

Well, a new study published at medRxiv has found that hydroxychloroquine, when paired with azithromycin could increase the survival rate of patients with severe cases of COVID-19 by nearly 200%.

Over the last year other studies also showed that hydroxychloroquine, when administered along with azithromycin showed positive results.

But the only study that was touted loudly in the media was a May 2020 study published in the Lancet that concluded hydroxychloroquine was both dangerous and ineffective in treating COVID-19. In June 2020, the Lancet was forced to retract that story and issue an apology after the company that provided data would not provide full access to the information for a third-party peer review.

In other words, Trump was right. The media was wrong. And who knows how many lives were lost because the media cared more about defeating Donald Trump than defeating COVID.
