(JustPatriots.com)- A new poll just revealed something totally unsurprising…support for the violent extremist Black Lives Matter movement is continuing to drop, most notably among Black Americans.
A poll from USA Today/Ipsos reveals that trust in the far-left movement, which played a role in the riots of 2020 that caused more than $2 billion in damage nationally, with support dropping from 60% in June to 50% today.
The survey, which focused on “Americans’ trust in law enforcement,” was taken during the run-up to the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former police officer who was involved with the death of George Floyd last year.
“Ahead of the trial of Derek Chauvin, the police officer charged with the murder of George Floyd, and the one year anniversary of the death of Breonna Taylor, a new USA Today/Ipsos poll shows shifting views among the American public when it comes to trust in law enforcement and Black Lives Matter, the right to protest, and the circumstances around Floyd’s death last May,” Ipsos revealed.
The survey found that Americans believe in preserving law and order over the right to protest, with Americans less trusting of BLM and more trusting of law enforcement. Some 49% of respondents said that law and order was the “most important thing to ensure, even if it means limiting peaceful protests.”
31% of respondents said that the right to protest was more important than law and order. But during June, in the height of the far-left riots, the nation was pretty evenly split. 45% wanted to preserve law and order and 44% wanted to preserve the right to protest.
Who wants to bet opinions have shifted now that the Democrats say law and order is important, because they helped stop a violent insurrection on January 6?
Ipsos also revealed that more Americans feel that race relations have “worsened rather than improved” and that there are “significant racial and partisan divisions on issues ranging from defunding the police, to equitable treatment of Black Americans, to trust in law enforcement.”
It even found that less than one-fifth of Americans, just 18%, would support defunding the police – an idea dreamed up by the Democrats, including some sitting members of Congress, back in 2020.
The Derek Chauvin trial began on Thursday, and you can bet it’s going to cause chaos all over again.
