(JustPatriots.com)- Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who has a long history of using her position to secure privileged perks, spent over a half-million dollars on private jets since 2020. This, despite Pelosi’s constant carping about the “existential threat” from climate change.
According to FEC campaign filings, Pelosi’s campaign paid the Virginia-based private aviation company Advanced Aviation Team over $437,000 between October 2020 and December 2021 for private jet travel. Another company, the California-based Clay Lacy Aviation got over $65,000 from Pelosi’s campaign.
Back in November, when Pelosi led a congressional delegation to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland, she told reporters that for her, climate change is “a religious thing.” She said people have a “moral obligation” to be “good stewards” of God’s creation.
Like Biden’s “Climate Czar” John Kerry, Nancy’s commitment to being a good steward of the planet come with a loophole so big, you could fly a private jet through it.
But Nancy’s love of fancy flights didn’t begin in 2020.
After then-President Donald Trump denied Pelosi’s request to use a military jet for a congressional delegation trip to Afghanistan in January 2019, Judicial Watch decided to revisit the high-flying Speaker’s travel habits.
Through a Freedom of Information Act request in 2010, Judicial Watch had previously exposed Pelosi’s taxpayer-funded air travel, which the watchdog group dubbed “Air Pelosi.”
At the time, Judicial Watch discovered that Pelosi had spent $2,100,744.59 on US Air Force jets over a two-year period. And of that taxpayer money Pelosi squandered, over $101,000 was for in-flight expenses like food and booze.
Judicial Watch also found that the average cost for an international congressional delegation trip was over $228 thousand.
Back when George W. Bush was president, Speaker Pelosi requested regular access to a US Air Force passenger jet that Pelosi routinely used, not just for her travel, but for her family’s as well.
Her love of taxpayer-funded air travel became such a sticking point at the time, congressional Republicans began referring to her Air Force jet as the “Flying Lincoln Bedroom” and “Pelosi One.”
