Biden Flips Out When Asked About Catholic Bishops Taking Action Against Him

(JustPatriots.com)- On Monday, Breitbart News reported that the White House blocked President Biden from speaking with reporters about the unveiling of his signature effort to provide families a direct monthly child credit of $250 beginning in July.

Instead of Biden addressing reporters, that job was left up to Press Secretary Jen Psaki and Vice President Kamala Harris.

It isn’t at all surprising that the White House decided to sideline the President. His encounters with reporters both during and after his first foreign trip were fraught with blunders, gaffes and, in the case of CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, a volatile outburst of anger.

No doubt one of the encounters that prompted the decision was when a reporter blindsided President Biden over the US Conference of Catholic Bishops’ approval of a “teaching document” rebuking Catholic politicians for continuing to take communion despite their open support for abortion.

The decision to pursue this “teaching document” was prompted by President Biden’s open and vocal support for abortion and his recent decisions to expand abortion access.

Clearly Biden was not prepared for the question – either because he was unaware of the Bishops’ decision or because, as usual, he doesn’t expect reporters to ask him anything more difficult than “what flavor ice cream did you get.”

As he was finishing up his announcement about the status of US vaccinations on Friday afternoon, a reporter hit the President with a question about the Bishops’ decision.

For a brief moment, President Biden looked like a deer in the headlights, then simply responded, “That’s a private matter, and I don’t think it’s going to happen.”

Since his Inauguration, the White House has been very careful in how much access the press has to the President. Prior to his trip abroad, Mr. Biden had done only one press conference since January 20 – and that one was a carefully-scripted event with a list of pre-determined reporters whom the President was to call on.

In an interview with David Axelrod in May, Jen Psaki freely admitted that she tells the President not to take questions from reporters, adding that she wants to reduce the amount of access the press has to Biden.

During the President’s foreign trip, CNN White House reporter Jeff Zeleny even admitted on air that he had never seen a President so protected by his aides.

For all the complaints reporters made about Donald Trump, the one thing even his most ardent adversaries admitted was he made himself widely available to the press.

But then again, President Trump wasn’t a broken down old crock whose mind is slowly turning to mush.
