(JustPatriots.com)- Former Vice President Mike Pence appeared on Breitbart News Saturday over the weekend where he predicted that Roe v. Wade will eventually be overturned.
In discussing last Wednesday’s oral arguments in the Supreme Court for Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health which centers on Mississippi’s law banning abortion after 15 weeks, Pence said President Trump appointing three pro-life Justices now makes overturning Roe v. Wade all the more likely. He also credited the hard work of pro-life activists who, for the last fifty years, have fought to elect pro-life lawmakers throughout the country.
Praising former President Donald Trump for keeping his word to the American people to appoint conservative justices throughout the federal bench, Pence said he doesn’t know if Roe v. Wade will be overturned in the Dobbs ruling, but he does believe it will get overturned eventually.
Pence also praised the pro-life youth movements, saying that young people in the country are the ones “driving us to this moment.” He added that if Roe is overturned, the credit ultimately goes to the American people “who never gave up on life” and who fought to restore “the sanctity of life to the center of American law.”
After Wednesday’s oral arguments, many legal experts believed that Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health may be the final nail in the coffin for Roe. And from the panicked and histrionic responses from pro-abortion advocates to last week’s oral arguments, it’s clear many of them agree.
Asked for his take on the oral arguments, Pence said it made him hopeful. He said how proud he was of the justices Trump appointed. He also praised Justice Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, adding that he is holding out hope that Chief Justice Roberts, the squishiest “conservative” Justice will see the wisdom of overturning Roe.
Pence added that the strongest decision the Supreme Court can make is to overturn Roe and allow the state legislatures, and the people who elected them, “to once again have the power to resolve this question.”
