Mike Huckabee Says Kamala Harris Also Should Be Impeached

(JustPatriots)- If President Donald Trump can be impeached for his words, then so, too, should incoming Vice President Kamala Harris.

Those were the words of Mike Huckabee, the former Republican governor of Arkansas. He strongly criticized the reasoning of members of the House of Representatives who pushed for, and then won, impeachment of Trump a second time.

He drew a comparison between what Trump said that got him into trouble with liberals, and what Harris said and did in regard to violent looters at protests this summer following the death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis.

Over the weekend, Huckabee told Fox Business:

“If we’re going to impeach Donald Trump for what he said, then we’d better impeach Kamala Harris for saying the things she did last summer about the rioters and the looters.”

As Huckabee pointed out, Harris established “a monetary fund to get them out of jail on bail so they could get back to the riots.

“If we’re gonna play this game, everybody should have a turn.”

Over the summer, while protests were raging across the country following Floyd’s death, the Minnesota Freedom Fund was set up to support people who were arrested while protesting. The problem with the fund is that money it raised was used to bail out people who rioted. Money from the fund was used to bail out other felons, too, including one man who was accused of raping a young girl, according to a Washington Examiner report.

Still, Harris tweeted her support for the Minnesota Freedom Fund on June 1, writing:

“If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.”

Her words can be interpreted as supporting violence in the same way that President Trump was accused of doing so for the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol building. He was impeached for inciting an insurrection.

While the president never directly encouraged violent actions, his critics say he inciting the crowd by inviting them to Washington, D.C., for a rally on the day of the Electoral College certification. Then, he told them to march to the Capitol building. Other speakers at the event were more direct in their innuendos for violence.

Some people could argue that Harris supporting the Minnesota Freedom Fund is very similar. She openly advocated for the release of people from jail who were put there due to their violent actions at a protest. Bailing these people out of jail would allow them to get back “on the ground in Minnesota,” as she tweeted — seemingly to protest again and potentially turn violent.

Huckabee has been a loyal supporter of Trump since he halted his own bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. But, he’s also criticized the president at times, too. Recently, he said about Trump’s future political ambitions:

“Could he run again? I don’t know. Only if he can sort of show that he can be that above-it-all leader and not just deal with his hurts. And I have said to him personally, and I’ve said this about him, when he is at his best is when he’s fighting for the people. When he is at his worst, it’s when he’s fighting for himself.”
