(JustPatriots.com)- Looters denied a two-year-old cancer patient a birthday party he was excited about after they looted the Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. The interior of the property was destroyed and valuables looted, meaning Owen Buell had to go home to enjoy birthday cake and ice cream.
Buell, who has Stage 4 neuroblastoma, was all set for a fun birthday party with loved ones courtesy of the Ronald McDonald House charitable organization.
“We were going to have cake and ice cream and do some presents at home with his siblings and his grandma,” Valerie Mitchell, Owen’s mother, told local news. “We got ap hone call from the nurse saying that none of the nurses could make it in for safety concerns and they didn’t want any families in the middle of that trying to walk into Lurie’s.”
The Ronald McDonald House was looted by far-left extremists who claimed it was just “taking reparations” in Chicago on Monday morning. You probably saw the reports from earlier this week about how local authorities had to raise the bridges and stop public transport to stop even more Black Lives Matter and Antifa extremists from getting involved with the rioting.
Mitchell described how unsafe she felt, and the mess she saw upon arriving at the building.
“The whole door was shattered and it looked like a bullet hole, so I started freaking out thinking about how unsafe it was,” she said. “You shouldn’t feel that way when your kid needs medical care. You shouldn’t be afraid to walk a few blocks down the street.”
Her full interview is heartbreaking to read. She said, “I ask myself, why can he not just have cancer? Why does there have to be coronavirus with it? Why is there all this protesting?”
“If he was going through treatment a year ago his siblings would be able to come here,” she added.
Not only is this young boy going through Stage 4 cancer, but protesters stopping him having a fun birthday party, and made it all that more difficult for the family.
Do these looters have no consideration for anybody else, or is it more important to loot luxury handbags and Nike sneakers in the name of “racial justice”?
