Judge Sides Against Biden

(JustPatriots.com)- On Wednesday, a federal judge sided with President Joe Biden and against female university students, ruling that members of the opposite sex must be allowed to share dorms and even shower rooms with women. The ruling came in response to a challenge from a Christian college in Missouri that challenged President Biden’s policies on discrimination against transgender people.

Judge Roseann Ketchmark from the Western Missouri District Court ruled that the College of the Ozarks, which sued the Biden administration over its policy of requiring biological males to have access to female changing rooms, facilities, and dorms. The school’s attorneys announced the ruling on Wednesday, possibly ending their legal challenge of the president’s January 20 executive order.

The ruling could have a disturbing impact on schools all over the country.

Julie Marie Blake, the senior counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom, a Christian nonprofit advocacy organization that supports legal challenges in favor of Americans’ Constitutional rights, said that “women shouldn’t be forced to share private spaces” and that religious schools should not be punished for their views about biological sex.

Blake made the comment to reporters on Wednesday night, adding that the Biden administration’s “overreach” is victimizing women, girls, and people of faith by stripping away their legal protections.

The lawsuit against the Biden administration was first filed in April. It was directed at the Department of Housing and Urban Development just a couple of months after Biden’s day-one executive order signing spree. The school’s attorneys argued that a religious school cannot be forced by the government to put biological males into women’s dorms.

Thankfully, administrators from the school are not backing down and have indicated that they intend to appeal the decision. In a press briefing, Chief Communications Officer of the college, Valerie Coleman, indicated that the school is “disappointed” but that they will “continue to fight.”
