Harris Campaign’s Concerns Over Unedited Interview
World-famous podcast host Joe Rogan has shed light on the alleged apprehensions of former Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign regarding a potential appearance on his show. Rogan claims that Harris’s team expressed significant concerns about the uncontrolled nature of his podcast format, particularly the prospect of an unedited, time-unlimited interview.
In other words: her team wanted a say on what could and could not be talked about. And Rogan was having none of it.
According to Rogan, the Vice President’s campaign team sought to impose several conditions on the potential interview. These included the presence of a stenographer and campaign staff in the room, as well as limitations on the interview’s duration. The podcast host also mentioned that Harris’s team requested the interview be recorded in Washington, D.C., rather than at Rogan’s studio.
“They wanted a stenographer in the room. They wanted staff in the room. They wanted it very controlled, and they were really concerned that it wasn’t going to be edited,” Joe Rogan said.
Yes, a stenographer.
Rogan drew a stark contrast between the Harris campaign’s approach and that of President Donald Trump. He highlighted the ease with which Trump’s team agreed to an interview, stating that Trump readily accepted without imposing any conditions or requesting details about the format or content of the discussion.
“This is how it worked: Trump was really easy to book. Like, super easy. We offered one day. He said yes. That was it. It was no ‘What are we going to talk about? How long is it going to be? Is it going to be edited?’ There was nothing,” Rogan said.
The podcast host even offered to interview Harris on the same day as Trump, but under the same conditions as Trump’s interview. This proposal, however, did not materialize into an actual interview with the Vice President.
Rogan also took issue with claims made in a book by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, which suggested that Harris’s campaign had committed to the podcast and even conducted a walkthrough of his studio. The podcast host firmly denied these assertions, emphasizing that no concrete arrangements were ever finalized with Harris’s team.
“None of that’s true. No one ever committed to doing it. This is like really important because they keep pretending that I lied or I did this or I did that,” Rogan said.
So that’s that new narrative completely debunked.
