Jerry Nadler Falsely Claims Democrats Are Trying To “Unpack” Supreme Court

( As President Joe Biden and his administration consider and prepare ways of packing the Supreme Court with new justices, House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler told the press that they were actually planning to “unpack” the Supreme Court.

Which is the exact opposite of what the Biden administration is planning to do.

Nadler, who is famous for wrongly claiming that Antifa violence in Portland is a myth, despite millions of dollars of damage over the last year caused by Antifa rioters, attempted to portray a decision to pack the Supreme Court with new justices as entirely justifiable.

In a press briefing, Nadler said that the number of justices on the court is decided by Congress, and that in the history of the United States, the number of justices has changed seven times.

But it hasn’t changed in a century, and even left-wing justices – including the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg – strongly opposed any measures designed to pack the courts.

Nadler said that his proposed legislation would add an incredible four new justices to the Supreme Court, bringing the number of judges on the highest court in the land to 13. He claimed that it is a “logical progression” because there would be 13 justices for the 13 circuit courts in the United States.

How convenient.

“We’re not packing it, we’re unpacking it,” he wrongly claimed as he announced President Biden and the Democrats’ plans to pack the courts with four new justices – conveniently one more than the three justices legitimately nominated by former President Donald Trump and confirmed by Congress over the last four years.

The Orwellian nature of the comments were laid bare, with Nadler making the blatantly false claim while standing behind a podium that said: “expand the court.”

“Unpacking the court” would be removing justices, not adding them.

The decision will set a disturbing precedent, with a successive Republican president possibly requiring to consider more plans to expand the court to reverse the damage done by the Democrats’ plans to pack the court this time around.

It’s an idea so bad that even President Joe Biden once called it a “bonehead idea.”

But now he’s president, and Vice President Kamala Harris is pulling the strings, it looks like President Joe Biden is willing to sell out on pretty much anything.
