Jen Psaki Caught Sharing Chinese Propaganda During Press Conferences

(JustPatriots.com)- Last Tuesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki took a page out of China’s propaganda to claim the spike in anti-Asian attacks during Biden’s first year in office was because of “hate-filled rhetoric” linking China to the COVID pandemic.

Psaki was asked about the staggering 339 percent increase in violence against Asians since Joe Biden took office last year. And since it is the standard operating procedure for this White House to blame Donald Trump or the “Trump era,” it isn’t surprising that Psaki would deploy this weak and laughable excuse.

But this particular talking point isn’t new. In fact, it originated in China.

In March 2020, in response to President Trump referring to COVID as the “China virus,” Chinese state-run media launched a campaign to claim it was racist and xenophobic to notice that the COVID pandemic started in China.

On March 16, 2020, China Xinhua News posted a meme to Twitter that read “Racism is not the right tool to cover your own incompetence.”

This “racism” and “xenophobia” claim was quickly regurgitated by the American corporate news media as well as Democrat lawmakers.

In May 2020, then-Senator Kamala Harris introduced a resolution condemning the use of the terms “China Virus,” “Kung Flu,” and “Wuhan Virus.” The resolution specifically claimed, without evidence, that the increase in violence against Asian Americans was directly linked to the use of these terms.

When violence against Asians spiked in the spring of 2021, China’s state-run propaganda outlet China Daily attributed the violence to COVID. The Global Times claimed the increased Anti-Asian attacks were due to racist Americans making China a “scapegoat” for the pandemic.

Now, is Jen Psaki knowingly relying on Chinese propaganda?

Probably not.

It’s just sometimes China’s views mirror those of the Democrat Party.

More than likely, Psaki is just doing what this White House always does: find a way to make their failures Trump’s fault.

There is no evidence that the growing violence against Asians in urban areas is caused by MAGA people with an ax to grind against China. The only people who would buy that claim are the ones who still believe Jussie Smollett was attacked by Trump supporters shouting “This is MAGA country!”

But for this White House, when it comes to passing the blame, “evidence” and “facts” don’t enter into it.
