Is Merrick Garland Going To Indict Donald Trump?

( Far-left Attorney General Merrick Garland may finally be preparing to indict former President Donald Trump for…for…well, for something.

The Hill reports that Garland may be preparing to indict Trump over false allegations that he incited a violent insurrection and a riot in Washington, D.C., on January 6 last year.

“We don’t know for certain, but it appears that Garland’s Justice Department has yet to convene a grand jury to investigate the affair. Were they subpoenaing witnesses before the grand jury, we would have heard something about it from reporters hanging around the courthouse or from the witnesses’ lawyers,” the left-leaning outlet reports.

If you read the article, which you will find here, you’ll notice that they provide absolutely zero evidence that Trump incited an insurrection or called for violence. The reason, of course, is that Trump did no such thing. Nonetheless, the article claims that Trump’s strategy to avoid indictment is to “run out the clock.”

“With the midterm elections less than eight months off, and a widely expected outcome that Republicans will take the House, the select committee investigating Jan. 6 may be on its last legs,” the report claims, before listing some information about others who have actually been indicted or charged because they engaged in violence in D.C. that day.

The outlet also reports how the House select committee that claims to be investigating the origins of the riot has obtained evidence that “Trump illegally schemed to stop the lawful transfer of power” to Joe Biden – but again, that evidence has not been outlined.

If Garland is preparing to indict Trump, as The Hill suggests, then he’s going to need some evidence that Trump actually did something illegal.
