Ilhan Omar Piles on Rittenhouse Acquittal

( On Friday, the odious Ilhan Omar shared a video on Twitter of NBC late-night talk show host Amber Ruffin’s wildly inaccurate tirade over Kyle Rittenhouse being acquitted.

In the video, Ruffin claims white people have an “entirely different set of rules.” She also claimed that Rittenhouse took a rifle “across state lines” to shoot people.

No, he didn’t. The rifle was stored in Kenosha.

In her tirade, Ruffin said the justice system is “blatantly and obviously stacked against people of color” and it wasn’t okay with her that white people get a different set of rules. She accused the judge of being a racist and called the members of the jury “f**ked up.” Then she echoed the claim that Rittenhouse shouldn’t have been there in the first place, nor should he “travel all the way to another state.”

“All the way.” He traveled twelve miles.

Even if Rittenhouse drove for hours, it isn’t illegal to travel across state lines.

Not one word in Amber Ruffin’s unhinged rant is truthful.

But that didn’t stop Ilhan Omar from tweeting it out with the message “In case you needed a reminder…”

A reminder of what? That those race-baiting liars like Amber Ruffin won’t stop lying about the facts in the case?

On the same day that Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted, a defendant named Andrew Coffee IV who fired shots at deputies during an early-morning raid in 2017 was acquitted by a jury on five charges — second-degree felony murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer and one count of discharging a firearm.

In his trial, Coffee argued self-defense just like Rittenhouse did.

And here’s the thing. Andrew Coffee is black. Yet he too was acquitted of murder and attempted murder on the grounds of self-defense.

In other words, Amber Ruffin’s histrionic claim that white people have a different set of rules is just one more big, fat lie.
