Hundreds Dead After Gaza Hospital Blast

Since Israel began its air campaign against Gaza on October 7 in reaction to a cross-border Hamas attack against Israeli civilians, this explosion was the deadliest single occurrence in the region.

This happened just before President Joe Biden traveled to Israel to show support for the Jewish state in its struggle with Hamas, the government in the Gaza Strip. Moreover, he looked into Israel’s methods for protecting people.

Mai Alkaila, the minister of health in the Hamas-led administration of Gaza, has accused Israel of carrying out a massacre. A health ministry official put the death toll at 500, while the head of Gaza’s civil defense said 300 were killed.

Israel’s military has denied involvement in the bombing of Gaza City’s Al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital. They theorized that a rocket fired from the enclave by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad military group had missed the hospital and caused damage.

The Islamic Jihad’s official spokesman, Daoud Shehab, said the report is entirely incorrect. The occupiers are covering up the terrible crimes and atrocities they committed against civilians.

President Joe Biden, who is now in Israel, voiced his approval of the Israeli government’s stance on the bombing of a hospital in Gaza on Wednesday.

According to the U.S. president, the outcome was due to a rocket launched by a terrorist organization.

Two high-ranking American officials have stated that an independent American assessment concludes that a missile fired by Palestinian Islamic Jihad misfired and struck al-Ahli Hospital. The Islamic Jihad of Palestine is a radical organization based in Gaza.

Humanitarian aid would be allowed into Gaza, President Joe Biden and a spokesperson for Fattah el-Sissi, the Egyptian President, announced upon Biden’s return from the region.

Biden warned that the funding will be cut off if Hamas misused or diverted it.

Aid organizations and others have voiced concern about the humanitarian situation for Palestinians in Gaza. Israel has been conducting airstrikes and maintaining a siege on the area in response to Hamas’s terrorism.
