(JustPatriots.com)- According to a former House Republican, Special counsel John Durham is looking at evidence of an incestuous relationship at the heart of the so-called Russiagate scandal.
Jason Chaffetz, a guest host on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, spoke with current members of Congress about the latest developments in the very divisive criminal investigation, which is centered on Democratic cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sussmann.
Sussmann was indicted last September on charges of concealing his clients from FBI general counsel James Baker when he presented internet data in September 2016 that suggested a now-debunked Trump-Russia link. Sussmann has entered a not guilty plea to any wrongdoing.
During an interview with Rep. Andy Biggs, Chaffetz said that the allegation here is that Michael Sussmann got in a meeting with the general counsel at the Federal Bureau of Investigation by pretending that he wasn’t representing anybody.
Chaffetz noted these folks had an incestuous relationship and were able to go in and access things that other people on the receiving end of prosecution don’t get to do.
In a court filing late Friday, Durham revealed that a government agency, identified in media reports as the CIA, found data from Sussmann indicating that coordination between former President Donald Trump and Russia was “not technically plausible” and “user-created.”
Aside from the FBI communication, Durham said in a previous filing that Sussmann later submitted an updated set of charges — including the Russian Bank-1 data and new claims connected to Trump to the CIA.
Alfa-Bank is a Russian bank.
Durham said on Friday that the government hopes to adduce evidence at trial showing that the FBI and CIA concluded that the Russian Bank 1 accusations were inaccurate and unsubstantiated.
Rep. Biggs said that he heard that Durham had uncovered some communications suggesting that Sussmann lied to the FBI and misled and misrepresented himself. He’s not sure the Clinton campaign or the Democratic Party wants this to go to trial and reveal their dirty laundry.
Durham is now pursuing two cases: one against the key source for British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier and another against Sussmann, whose trial begins on May 16.
Some Trump supporters believe Durham is putting together a conspiracy case that will engulf everyone involved in and around Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. Clinton has blasted what she has called a fake scandal.
Kind of rich since she was outspoken about the Alfa Bank charges when they first surfaced in the final weeks of the 2016 presidential election, charges that she now knows, or has always known, to be false.
