Flustered “Mayor Pete” Takes Photo Of Journalist Asking Him Questions

(JustPatriots.com)- Using the statistic that there are “approximately 1,000 occurrences a year of a train derailing,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has remained mostly silent and even attempted to minimize the tragedy. His leadership abilities were called into doubt because of his conduct.

After being contacted by a reporter on the street about the issue, Buttigieg, clearly annoyed, asked the journalist an odd question: “Can I have a picture of you?”

The reporter was the Daily Caller’s Jennie Taer.

The fallout was swift and brutal, and many have called for Buttigieg to resign. He was intimidating a press member, abusing his position of authority.

Overnight, Taer’s video of the event, which she shared online, racked up more than 1.6 million views.

In the 45-second video shared on social media, Taer asked Buttigieg whether he had any words of comfort for the people of East Palestine, Ohio, where a railway catastrophe caused the release of deadly chemicals. Buttigieg pointed her to his press interviews, told her he needed “some personal time,” and asked if he could take a picture of her.

“So creepy he wanted your picture,” Stephanie Hamill, a Turning Point USA ambassador, posted on social media.

On Wednesday’s episode of “Outnumbered,” the panelists criticized the government for its slow reaction to the train catastrophe in East Palestine. Co-host Harris Faulkner said that Buttigieg’s request for a photo might have far-reaching consequences.

Why do you believe he did that?” Faulkner questioned. “ Why, exactly, did he need a picture of her?”

Kayleigh McEnany said, “It was bizarre,” Fox News contributor Lisa Boothe echoed that sentiment, calling it “very weird.”

In his appearance on “Outnumbered,” former NBA star Enes Kanter Sharply questioned the objectives of the Biden administration. He found it tragic that the president would aid Ukraine while his people pleaded for assistance.

The announcement of Buttigieg’s journey to Ohio came just hours after Trump’s announcement of the same.
