FBI Whistleblowers Reveal The FBI Targeted Parents, Despite White House’s Denials

(JustPatriots.com)- Despite Merrick Garland’s previous claim that it never happened, Republican Reps. Jim Jordan (OH) and Mike Johnson (LA) sent a letter to the US Attorney General claiming that whistleblowers have come forward and revealed that the FBI had labeled dozens of investigations into parents who protested schools’ COVID policies with a threat tag created by the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division.

In September, the National School Boards Association (NBSA) compared parents who criticized school COVID programs to domestic terrorists. Five days later, the Justice Department directed the FBI to investigate school board threats. The FBI’s criminal and counterterrorism divisions told agents to designate any investigations and assessments of threats directed exclusively at education officials with the threat tag “EDUOFFICIALS.”

The whistleblower said the FBI initiated EDUOFFICIALS investigations in “every corner of the country” and educational settings.

The legislators identified many instances in which the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center was used to report a parent. The legislators equated this to a “snitch-line” set-up to solicit information about people at school board meetings.

In one case, investigators interrogated a mother who reportedly told a school board member, “we are coming for you.” The mother was reported to belong to a “right-wing mom’s group” named “Moms for Liberty” and owned a gun. The FBI decided she wasn’t a threat.

Agents interviewed a parent opposed to masks. The father was reported because he “rails against the government” and “has a lot of firearms and threatens to use them.”

The individual who reported the dad finally admitted they had no specific information or observations of any crimes or threats.

A Democratic Party official allegedly denounced Republican officials in an unidentified state for “inciting violence” by criticizing school district vaccination requirements.

Jordan and Johnson characterized these incidents as a waste of crucial law-enforcement time and resources (that) could have been invested in genuine and imminent threats.

The two congressmen wrote to Garland and said that his inquiries into lawful First Amendment conduct would have a chilling effect on parents who wish to air grievances to schoolboards. They shouldn’t have to dread a visit from federal law enforcement.

The letter also urged Garland to keep any “relevant records” in a “reasonable manner.”

In October 2021, Garland testified before Congress that the DOJ had not used anti-terrorism measures against parents opposing school board activities.

On the Fox Network’s Jesse Watters Primetime, Jordan stated that he couldn’t imagine the Patriot Act being used against parents who complain about their kid’s schools—and then be classified as domestic terrorists, as well.

Jordan added that if you’re a parent, a gun owner, a Republican, and you’re sticking up for your kids, beware of the FBI.

The congressman said that one should never forget how swiftly it occurred. The School Board Association wrote to the Biden White House on Sept. 29. On Oct. 4, Merrick Garland issued a memorandum outlining a snitch line against parents. The FBI then sends out an email 16 days later establishing the threat tag on these parents. It happened in 22 days.

“When has the federal government moved that quickly?” Jordan asked.
