Hezbollah Locations Targeted
Israeli forces focused on a Hezbollah facility in Sidon, claiming it contained rocket launchers. A vehicle allegedly carrying military equipment was also hit in southern Lebanon. These events occurred despite a longstanding ceasefire, as both parties now accuse each other of violating the terms. The agreement requires Hezbollah to retreat north of the Litani River and remove military setups, while Israel is expected to withdraw south of the Blue Line.
“Israel has insisted on its ‘full military freedom of action’ in Lebanon if Hezbollah violates the ceasefire agreement or attempts to rearm,” Aljazeera reported.
The continued conflict has resulted in tragic losses. Since October 2023, Israeli strikes have led to over 3,961 deaths, 16,500 injuries, and the displacement of more than one million people in Lebanon. Hezbollah has retaliated, resulting in the deaths of 45 civilians and 73 Israeli soldiers in northern Israel and regions like the occupied Golan Heights.
And while the left keeps freaking out about it, it begs the question: what is Israel meant to do when insane neighboring countries remain hellbent on destroying their state and people?
