(JustPatriots.com)- Journalist Christopher Rufo shared a series of videos of Disney CEO Bob Iger talking to employees at a town hall last week, according to The Western Journal. Iger expressed his intention to steer the company away from the political battles in which it has recently entrenched itself.
Iger, who served as the company’s chief executive from 2005 to 2020, is replacing Bob Chapek after his 11-month tenure.
Under Chapek’s leadership, Disney came out against Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill that left-wing advocates dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. The Florida law prohibits teachers from discussing gender or orientation with their students in kindergarten through third grade.
After Disney expressed its opposition and threatened to get the bill repealed, Governor Ron DeSantis revoked its special tax privileges that would cause the company to lose its self-governing status, affecting its control over its zoning, infrastructure, and policing in its districts.
Iger said that he was going to “quiet things down” when it comes to the political controversy.

The CEO said that while Disney will still support the LGBTQ community, it needs to strike a “delicate balance” between listening and talking to its audience.
“It’s important to have respect for the people you are serving,” he said.
He also seemed to want to get back in the good graces of the state, saying that he is mindful that Disney and Florida have been important to each other for a long time.
He pushed back on the idea that everything the company is publishing lately is political, for which conservatives have boycotted watching its new releases.
Disney reportedly hurt a lot of its franchises and its revenue by trying to become “woke,” affecting Star Wars, Toy Story, and Marvel. “Lightyear” and “Strange World,” also reportedly bombed at the box office.
A clip was released earlier this year showing Disney executives saying that they were going to continue to push pro-LGBTQ content on minors.
