The Democrats appear to have run a fake video of President Donald Trump during the opening of the Senate impeachment hearing.
Yes, you heard that right.
Populist Press reports how the opening video of former President Donald Trump’s speech given on January 6, which was played by House Democrats during the second impeachment hearing, failed to include the former president’s clear instruction for people to march “peacefully and patriotically.”
So they doctored a video and played it as “evidence”…
New York’s Rep. Lee Zeldin spoke to Newsmax about how Democrats cut out the president’s call for people to march peacefully.
“Of course as they’re playing their videos and they’re telling their argument, they aren’t going to give the full story of the FBI warning a day ahead of time that this attack was going to take place, or that pipe bombs were being faced, placed and found before the president’s marks were even concluded,” he said.
Zeldin said that there is a “full story” and that one of the consequences of this article of impeachment is that they’re “basing this primarily on the argument that the president gave a speech that day that incited a riot.”
He explained how, in so many ways, this has already been disproven. The FBI has even walked back original claims that members of the right-wing and left-wing groups that rioted on January 6 were planning on finding and killing elected officials in the Capitol Building.
USA Today reported on January 16 that the FBI confirmed that there is “no direct evidence of kill and capture teams” among the riots, “walking back claims outlined in court documents that attackers sought to apprehend and ‘assassinate elected officials.’”
It undercuts claims that President Donald Trump triggered a murderous insurrection, and when seen alongside the evidence that President Trump called on his supporter to protest peacefully, it destroys any claim that Democrats have pushed in the impeachment hearing so far.
Maybe that’s why they doctored the footage…
The second Senate impeachment hearing of the former president began on February 9, and as it stands, a sufficient number of Senators already believe that the hearing is unconstitutional and will therefore not be voting to convict former President Donald Trump.
No matter how many doctored videos the Democrats share.
