Democrat Leader Uses “Loophole” To Accept PAC Money

( Democratic Rep. Tom Malinowski of New Jersey, who is facing a substantial challenge from the Republicans in this year’s midterm elections, has reportedly found a loophole that allows him to take corporate PAC money while sticking with his pledge to take no corporate PAC money.

Over the last 18 months, Malinowski has reportedly accepted campaign donations from a number of different professional and business interest organizations.

It’s like taking PAC money, but directly from the source, instead.

In September of 2020, Malinowski said that accepting money from other groups and individuals who also take corporate PAC money, or who give to corporate PACs, is more acceptable because the money isn’t coming directly from a corporation.

According to Breitbart, however. Malinowski has taken as much as $200,000 from other members and their leadership PACs, as well as $43,000 from business interest organizations and lobbying groups. He took all this money even after he made the pledge not to take PAC money in September of 2020.

The Washington Free Beacon also reported on this story, noting how Malinowski took $8,250 from lobbying group PACs Nelson Muillins and Winning Strategies.

Even worse? Malinowski, who has long opposed former President Donald Trump’s American energy independence program, took thousands of dollars from a lobbyist representing the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia. Specifically, Malinowski took $8,600 from Vincent Roberti, a former Democratic state legislator who now lobbies on behalf of the controversial pipeline.

If he loses in November, this will definitely be part of the reason why…
