(JustPatriots.com)- At least two people have been killed, and three others have been injured as a result of a spree of armed robberies that took place at multiple 7-Eleven outlets across the Southern California region. A search is currently ongoing to locate the shooter responsible for the crimes.
On Tuesday afternoon, the authorities in the area verified that a single armed robber was responsible for at least five of the six armed robberies that took place at 7-Eleven convenience stores early on Monday morning. The photograph of the person the police are looking for in connection with the armed robberies that took place in Brea, La Habra, Santa Ana, Upland, and Riverside was made public by the police.
While the investigation into the occurrences is ongoing, investigators have published a surveillance photo of the wanted man in connection with the crimes.
The authorities have stated that they would communicate with other 7-Eleven outlets to inform them to take appropriate steps for safety.
An early understanding of what precipitated the violence in the cities of Ontario, Upland, Riverside, Santa Ana, Brea, and La Habra was not immediately available to the investigators.
Officer Ryan Railsback, a spokeswoman for the Riverside Police Department, was asked this question and responded by saying, “I think the only person who could answer it would be the suspect.”
The shootings took place on the same day as National 7/11 Day, a celebration of the anniversary of the national 7-Eleven brand and during which customers can enjoy a free Slurpee.
Railsback said that the date was not random and was not a coincidence.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and everyone who loved them. In conjunction with the local law enforcement, we are collecting information on this horrible event, “7-Eleven said in a statement. “At this time, we primarily emphasize the well-being of our Franchisees, Associates, and Customers. Keeping this in mind, we strongly suggest businesses throughout Los Angeles lock their doors for the night.”
