(JustPatriot)- Sad news for travelers who like to watch left-wing propaganda on the go…CNN is officially shutting down its airport network after decades of operation.
After the Chinese coronavirus pandemic dramatically reduced the number of people who travel through American airports, CNN announced on Tuesday that it would be closing the airport network that has been aired across the nation for more than thirty years.
Jeff Zucker, president of CNN, announced in a statement that CNN will end its airport operations as of March 31, 2021.
“The steep decline in airport traffic because of COVID-19, coupled with all the new ways that people are consuming content on their personal devices, has lessened the need for the CNN airport network,” he told the press and staff.

The network was first launched back in 1992 as a 24-hour network specifically to be aired in airports. It focused on entertainment, business, sports, and lifestyle news and was first launched in 60 airports. It was screened at thousands of gated and had more than 329 million viewers annually, CNN said.
But with the changing times, fewer people are watching TV screens and subtitles, and more people are checking in on the news on their smartphones and tablets while waiting for planes.
“Having to say good-bye to such a beloved brand is not easy,” Zucker added. “I want to thank our friends and colleagues who have contributed to its success and to celebrate the fact that for 30 years, the CNN Airport Network has kept millions of domestic travelers informed. It has also become an iconic part of the traveling experience in this country.”
And while CNN seems to think the nation has lost an iconic network, many people online have indicated they didn’t even know that the airport was any different to the regular network.
“I thought it was just the regular annoying CNN content that I was trying to ignore,” one Twitter user said.

Airlines in America saw a 62% decrease in air traffic in October of last year compared to the same month in 2019. Major airlines only took 29.9 million passengers compared to 78.3 million in October 2019.
And with the COVID-19 pandemic ongoing and Democrats about to take control of all three chambers of government, who knows how much longer the airline industry will suffer?
