Border Patrol Intercepts Child Rapists

( When then-candidate Donald Trump in 2015 described the situation on our southern border and called some crossing the border illegally “rapists,” the national media lit its hair on fire. From then on, Trump was a racist, xenophobe, bigot, et cetera, et cetera.

But as a matter of fact, and as usual, Trump was right.

On Saturday, United States Border Patrol picked up a group of ten migrants, including one unaccompanied minor, at the border near Abrams, Texas, just after they made an illegal crossing. Also among them was Raul Sanchez, a 28-year-old Salvadoran. After Border Patrol ran his name, what they found was startling. Sanchez had been picked up before, and not for crossing the border. In 2016, he was convicted for the rape of a child, sentenced to serve 34 months in prison, and another 36 of community service.

Just two days later, Border Patrol picked up another Salvadoran man in Mission, Texas: 49-year-old illegal alien Rafael Rauda-Lopez. His record revealed another horrifying discovery—Rauda-Lopez was arrested in 2014 for sexual contact with a 9-year-old girl. He was convicted in 2016 for sexual abuse in the second degree: sexual contact with a person less than fourteen, and was sentenced to a year in prison.

Now, these aren’t the kinds of stories the mainstream media want to tell—in fact, they’d do anything to keep them out of the news cycle. The problem is they just keep happening.

With President Biden’s signal to would-be illegal aliens that the United States welcomes them with open arms and will provide cradle-to-grave benefits for anyone who makes it here, it’s no wonder he quickly created a rush on the border.

After months of denying the existence of a crisis on the border, it seemed like Joe might finally do something about it. Instead, he put Vice President Kamala Harris on it, but only after she awkwardly laughed off the idea of traveling there to respond to the crisis.

What Vice President Harris has actually done to stem the tide of illegal immigrants who were encouraged by the administration’s rhetoric to risk life and limb to come here with the aid of coyotes and drug mules is still an open question. But if illegal alien rapists are any indication, not much.
