Biden, Obama and Clinton to Address Democratic National Convention

Democrats are hoping they can tap into party “royalty” to bring sparkle and enthusiasm to the Democrat National Convention on deck to run in Chicago from August 19 through the 22nd.

They’ve lined up former presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the gala event as speakers at the pending get-together. This is the convention at which Vice President Kamala Harris will presumably accept the party’s nomination for presidential candidate.

Harris seemingly slotted herself into the nominee position—without ever winning a primary, and despite being the most unpopular vice president in history—after an increasingly senile President Joe Biden announced on July 21 that he was leaving the race.

This will be something of a reprise of the DNC convention from 2020, as the Clintons and Obama spoke at that conference at which Joe Biden accepted the nomination. While none of the speakers are officially confirmed, there are also rumors that Jason Carter, son of former president Jimmy Carter, will be on the stage as well to speak on behalf of his grandfather. Carter, 99 years old, has been on hospice care for a year and a half and is no longer coherent or able to speak.

This will certainly be a DNC convention for the history books. Large portions of the American public, including lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, believe Harris’ elevation to nominee stinks like day-old fish. It comes after what most believe was a behind-the-scenes “soft coup” to push the ailing Biden out of the race for fear that his compromised mental ability could cost the Democrats the presidency.

In spite of this, the Democrat party has seemingly whipped an enthusiastic campaign for Harris out of thin air, blanketing the airwaves and the internet with videos and images of thousands of smiling fans at her campaign rallies. It is not clear how many of the crowd have shown up specifically for Harris, or for the musical acts she’s brought on the campaign trail.

At a recent event Harris gave attendees a free concert by the vulgar rap artist Meghan Thee Stallion, who “twerked” onstage for the crowd.
