Biden Asks China To Help Investigation Into COVID

( On Wednesday, President Joe Biden made a sickeningly partisan decision to close down an investigation set up by the Trump administration into the origins of the Chinese coronavirus. The ongoing investigations were set up to determine whether the virus occurred naturally and crossed to humans from bats, or whether the virus may have been manmade and leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The effort was headed up by former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, which was presumably the reason why the Biden administration shut it down. CNN reports how those involved with the investigation insisted it was an honest effort to establish what really happened in the early days of the pandemic, but the far-left network tried to defend the Biden administration by claiming that the Trump administration engaged in a “politicized effort” to “cherry-pick facts to prove a theory.”

But that was all proven wrong when President Joe Biden, that same day, restarted a new investigation to investigate the origins of the virus. It followed reports from the Wall Street Journal and others that employees at the Wuhan laboratory were hospitalized with COVID symptoms in the fall of 2019, and that the virology institute was even temporarily shut down around the same time.

Biden’s relaunch of the investigation involved calling for the American intelligence agencies to “redouble” their efforts to investigate the origins, adding that there remains no evidence to confirm whether the virus was manmade and came from an accident in a lab, or that it came from an animal.

It coincided with a decision by social media giant Facebook to refrain from banning users for stating that the virus came from a laboratory – a claim that was once considered a conspiracy theory.

Biden issued a statement saying that a majority of the American intelligence community does not believe there is sufficient information to support one theory or another.

It sounds like it’s time for Biden to issue a massive apology to former President Donald Trump.
