(JustPatriots.com)- Kamala Harris, the former attorney general for California, is now officially the running mate of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. She’s the unlikeable, angry, former criminal prosecutor who slammed Biden in the debates, and now she’s the unlikeable, angry, vice-presidential candidate who will likely become president if Biden wins in November.
Why? Because most people believe that Biden won’t be able to finish a full term as a result of his serious cognitive decline, according to polls.
It seems like an obviously horrible strategy to choose Harris, and the only Democrats that seem to see it are the Bernie bros. Supporters of the socialist Vermont senator have been fairly vocal about their disapproval of Harris as the vice-presidential candidate.
Fox News reports how Brihanna Joy Gray, the former communications director on the Sanders campaign team, expressed his disappointment about Biden choosing a ‘top cop’ at a time when her peers are calling for the defunding of the police.
“We are in the midst of the largest protest movement in American history, the subject of which is excessive policing, and the Democratic Party chose a ‘top cop’ and the author of the Joe Biden crime bill to save us from Trump,” she complained. “The contempt for the base is, wow.”
What Gray doesn’t seem to realize is that base – the people rioting on the streets in the name of “racial justice” – are not helpful to Biden. Maybe he chose Harris precisely because she has a background in criminal prosecution. It signals that he might not be on board with the rioting, but means he doesn’t actually have to say it.
Then there’s liberal Michael Tracey, who referenced Harris’ disastrous presidential campaign and how she was easily destroyed when Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard called her out for her hypocrisy on marijuana. Remember that? Gabbard told the world how Harris laughed about her own use of marijuana despite locking up dozens of people for the same thing.
“Kamala’s presidential campaign was a total humiliating disaster,” Tracey said. “One of the worst of all time, considering the amount of unearned hype she received. Did everybody miss that, or what?”
What is it with the Democrat establishment and ignoring Bernie Sanders and his supporters? They might be socialists – and radical ones at that – but they sometimes seem to be capable of recognizing catastrophic failures in the Democratic Party.
